Age Calculator
Find your exact age — years, months and days — from your date of birth, plus the total days you've lived and how long until your next birthday. Want the age on a specific date instead? Change the "age at" date. Runs in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.
How age is calculated
Your age is the time from your birth date to the "age at" date, counted the way people actually count it: whole years first, then the leftover months, then the leftover days — accounting for months of different lengths and leap years. That's why it isn't simply the total days divided by 365.
FAQ
How do I calculate my exact age?
Enter your date of birth and the tool counts the whole years from then to today, then the leftover months, then the leftover days — the way age is normally counted — accounting for different month lengths and leap years.
Can I find my age on a specific date?
Yes. Change the "age at" date to any date — past or future — to get your age on that day, for example for a form, an event or a deadline.
How many days old am I?
The calculator shows your total days lived (and total weeks and months) alongside your age in years, months and days.
Why is my age not just total days divided by 365?
Because years vary in length (leap years have 366 days) and months differ too. Counting calendar years, then months, then days gives the exact age people actually use, which dividing by 365 would only approximate.
