What the levels mean

AA is the standard most sites aim for: ratio ≥ 4.5:1 for normal text, ≥ 3:1 for large text (≈24px, or 19px bold).
AAA is stricter: ≥ 7:1 normal, ≥ 4.5:1 large.
Low contrast hurts readability for everyone and fails accessibility checks (and Lighthouse/SEO audits).
