Margin % = profit ÷ price. Markup % = profit ÷ cost. They're different — a 50% margin is a 100% markup. Price on margin (it reflects what you actually keep).
Margin vs markup (the bit people get wrong)
Markup is how much you add on top of cost; margin is the share of the selling price you keep. They're easy to confuse and the gap is big at higher numbers.
