UTM Link Builder
Want to know which pin, email, or post actually drove a click or sale? Add UTM tags to your links and your analytics will tell you exactly where the traffic came from. Fill in the fields and this free tool builds a clean, correctly-formatted tracking URL you can copy and paste anywhere. Runs in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere.
Required fields are marked *. Spaces become underscores and everything is URL-encoded for you. Tip: keep source/medium/campaign lowercase and consistent so your analytics reports stay clean.
What the UTM parameters mean
- utm_source — where the traffic comes from (pinterest, newsletter, twitter).
- utm_medium — the type of channel (social, email, cpc, referral).
- utm_campaign — the specific promotion (spring_launch, black_friday).
- utm_term / utm_content — optional: paid keywords, or which link/variant was clicked.
Then watch the results in your analytics under Acquisition → campaigns. This pairs perfectly with the Pinterest pin description generator (tag every pin) and an email tool. New to driving traffic? Read how to use Pinterest for free traffic and how to get your first 1,000 visitors.
